Let's go find the Sailfish
November is a great time to start looking for the sail fish. Start looking for them in about 90 to 125 feet of water. While you are out there look for the bait pods or diving birds to locate them. Once you find them use live baits or trolled naked ballyhoo to raise them up. If you can find the shrimp boats anchored up you maybe lucky enough to find some blackfin tuna at day break. Remember to bring gifts of beverages for the shrimp boat boys who will reward you kindly.
The other fish to look will be the wahoo. Fast trolling with plugs or a chin weighted ballyhoo on a shotgun rod will catch you some of these speedsters. Don’t forget to save some bait for the bottom dwellers. Snappers and groupers should be very active by this time. We have seen numerous catches of them already coming in. If you can not get all the way out look along the beaches for jacks and the spanish macs. It might be a little early but they will be showing up towards the end of the month. We have also seen some real nice catches of snook inside the port.
Let's Go Fishing!

Boat:
While out on your trip on the CopOut you will find the ride to be smooth and dry. CopOut is a 2006 Angler, 29’ center console with plenty of seating and a head. It has all the required Coast Guard equipment and more. Even after one of our 15 hour tuna trips you still do not have the feeling of being crowded.
The CopOut also sports twin Yamaha 250’s. She can run in the low 50’s to get you on the fish quick. When you take a trip with us we have everything you need except for your lunch and drinks (beer is ok with us). We’ll send you home with your fish cleaned and packaged by one of our hard working mates. Check out our website for a list of suggestions of things to bring and what not to bring.
