Captain Bo Johnson

What's on the water
The last 4 days have been awesome! We have boated 84 redfish in the since Friday. Friday was the slowest day of the four. Craig and Tom landed 8 redfish and some real nice trout. It was a fun day on the water. Saturday was a multi-boat charter and the fish were on fire. I was joined by Roger Adkins and Laurie Esler of Ringpower. They lit it up and boated 32 redfish on the day. Laurie had never fished much and after a few casting lessons she put a hurtin' on the reds. Sunday was just about as hot. Darren House and Doug Smith joined me again for the "Hunt for Reds' tournament. The idea is to catch the fish with the most spots. We managed a six spot fish out of the 28 we landed. We missed a few but had a blast catching fish all day.
Monday my good friend and client Carl Rosa joined me for a day of fun and relaxation. What a great day! We boated 16 redfish and 3 nice trout. It was an awesome morning of fishing! The rest of this week is taken with Tuesday and Wednesday off.

About Us!
Captain Bo Johnson is a specialist when it comes to stalking fish on the shallow flats and mangrove shorelines of Sanibel, Captiva, Pine Island Sound, Boca Grande and Estero Bay. Capt. Bo is a native of Southwest Florida and has been in touch with the species he hunts for his whole life. He is an expert in stalking fish on the shallow flats of Pine Island, Sanibel Island, Captiva Island, Boca Grande and Charlotte Harbor. His days on the water number in the hundreds. He has done multiple TV shows with "On the Fly" and "Tales of the Everglades Angler", Regional shows showcasing the types of fishing Capt. Bo Johnson does best.
He specializes in fishing with artificial baits, whether it's with a fly, spoons, jigs or plastics. There is no greater thrill than sneaking up on a tailing redfish and presenting the perfect cast and " fish on "! He also fishes the same surrounding areas for the elusive snook; this fish is the ultimate tackle tester. An excellent fighter, he'll test your skill as angler and fight like a largemouth Bass on steroids. Seatrout also prowl these same lush grass flats, ready and willing to slam any thing that makes a commotion on the top of the water, be it plug or fly. Not far offshore, Permit, Cobia, and tripletail [buoy fish] inhabit the trap lines. These fish are all excellent adversaries on either light tackle or a fly rod. And we can't forget the Silver King [The Tarpon]. These fish abound here in the early spring to mid- summer. The only thing more exciting than stalking fish on the flats is stalking fish that are 7 plus feet in length and weighing up to 225 lbs.
Capt. Bo fishes these monsters on the beaches, in the passes, and on the flats. Here on the flats these fish can be found in less than 2 feet of water. Laid up in potholes as they float like silvery logs, motionless until the fly reaches his peripheral vision. He turns… he's on it… strip, strip, strip. Before you know it, he's into the backing and jumping like a lightning bolt from below! This is the ultimate angling rush! These fish put on one of the best aerial shows that there is to be seen.
